Members Of The Zimura New Era Group Come Together In A Peace and Substance Abuse Double Single

Away from the Zimura legitimacy fights and bad publicity, the Zimura New Era Interim Board brought together members for appeal songs to fellow Zimbabweans. The two songs are directed at two current thematic issues, peace and drug abuse. 


Speaking to Phillip Chipfumbu the leader of the Zimura New Era pressure group who revealed that the songs are a dedication to Zimbabwe during the election period and beyond. Phillip went on to say that as musicians they are duty bound to spread messages of national reconciliation and responsibility among citizens.


The two songs were recorded on 26 July at Simba Studios in Westgate. The recording was done from 10 am to the following day at 8 am. I, Fred Farai Finto (FFF) coordinated the event. 20 musicians participated in the project that I believe our government and people of Zimbabwe are going to accept. The songs were composed and recorded right at the same time, you can't put together musicians and fail to get a song or two out of them.


The Zimura members put aside their grievances towards the Albert Nyathi led board at least for a moment to concentrate on the two masterpieces that are going to surprise the nation 


Many a times musical projects are initiated by promotion seeking administrators who usually are not musicians. This was a first for musicians to combine their talents and meagre resources in pursuance of national peace and responsibility among citizens.


The songs are now ready for mixing and mastering which Spokesperson of the Interim Board Bonface Manyonganise reiterated that the project was going to be useful especially during this election period. The songs have about 20 voices and  unknown Learn more Gandani the producer did justice.


Among the voices is Tete Pipilo of the sungura fame, a lot of people are going to appreciate that Tete is a complete musician of no doubt. The melodious Charity Dipa also gave her best vocals that the nation is going to sing along. A young man called Nduna spiced the project with his ethnic Ndebele style, given enough support Nduna will definitely become a national star. Pastor Madzogo added his prayer in the project on the peaceful song yet to be named. Munyaradzi Mupositori Muchetu added his voice too. 


The project is full of surprises, the nation and our region is going to benefit from especially the the anti drug abuse song. The sweet vocals from artists Langton Tapatapa, JK Power Mukoma Chari and Kisswell Chando are unmatched.


Besides being board members Bonface Manyonganise, Phillip Chipfumbu, Jane Marimo, Fred Farai Finto (FFF), Munyaradzi Mupositori Muchetu and Pastor Madzogo added equal value to the project. Other members who took part are Konias Madhombiro, Ja Prophet,  Machona, Dhibhura
