Lucky Kumene To Heads-up Fans Of Upcoming Album at Eastpoint.

This year should be named Sungura Rejuvenated. It all started with the King himself Alick Macheso. He set the pace with his Album Tinosvitswa Kure, the over subscribed album launch at Aquatic Complex sent confidence that Sungura is still alive. After a couple of years struggling, sungura music is making headlines again. Dancehall had been dominating with the late Soul Jah Love, Winky D, Killer T giving sungura musicians a run for their money. The way Killer T revolved the Dancehall lyrics to relate with people's day to day living made Dancehall music acceptable to all ages. The winds are kind of balanced now, sungura has resurfaced with Alick Macheso leading while Mark Ngwazi, Romeo Gasa pursue.  Lucky Kumene is busy replenishing his armoury to apprehend the hype while it lasts. Today 14 October Lucky Kumene is playing at Eastpoint, this show is kind of a rehearsal to his album launch to follow in December at the same venue.  Lucky Kumene is an underrated sungura kingpin. Mjolo Charge Up Precious Hanya To Pen A Song

Precious Hanya is not new in this game, he has 3 albums to his name so far, the scarcity of legal distribution channels is forcing him and other musicians to trade their maximum effort for other professions that are paying, Mr P Uncle Bae as he is affectionately called in the music circles is a full time electrician.  The haphazard and non paying music distribution is discouraging even though he makes sure the society is enlightened. Precious makes sure he casts out a song out of his social analysis abilities. The society celebrates trends as an in thing but does not look at how detrimental it is to them. Whether it is out of ignorance the consequences burden the society. Mjolo is a trending practice that has different names depending from area and area. Cheating in relationships is a tradition that has grown so bad due to modernisation. Men and women boast of the practice but the effects on morals, health and crime is worrisome. Mr P (Uncle Bae) was quick to unpack the Mjolo misdeed

Zimbabwean Kanindo Crooner Declares His Time Is Now Or Never.

Written by Fred Farai Finto FFF  I really wanted to understand why Tapiwa Samanyanga was so bold to say that he accepted nothing else besides a slot at the top. Samanyanga reiterated that “no one belongs on top forever”.  For the 2 decades I have dealt with musicians, I have come to believe their high superiority appetite. Each and every individual musician before release feels his/her art is what the world is waiting for. It’s positive in a way because it boosts confidence but there must be enough research to justify. It’s risky if self judgement is taking centre stage without any feedback from a reasonable sample. The way the music industry is being undermined as a chance business has led to the downfall of so many talented musicians. So does Tapiwa has appropriate backing for the treasonous move he has pronounced? I was prompted to do some background checks. My eagerness was to understand where really this young man ejected from, who Tapiwa rubbed shoulders with and who probabl
